Split Size Bed Sheets -vs- Split Head Bed Sheets?
Split Size Bed Sheets -vs- Split Head Bed Sheets?
Did you know that even though both of these sheet sizes are hard to find and although they sound very much alike, they are far from being the same size of sheet?
The “Split Size” bed sheet refers to a sizing that will accommodate a bed that is split completely down the middle. Essentially, this bed is made up of two separate units. For example, a split king size bed will consist of two units measuring approximately 38″ x 80″ each. You will need split king size sheets for this type of sleep system.
The “Split Head Size” bed sheet refers to a sizing that will accommodate a sleep system that is also split down the middle BUT does not completely separate. In other words, this type of sleep system is adjustable and split but only at the top portion of the bed. This size of sheet is also commonly referred to as a “Split Top” sheet. Both descriptions are used for this size of bedding.
Many higher end mattress manufacturers produce both the split size and the split top/head size sleep systems. Some of the better know brands are Tempurpedic, Comfortaire, Dormia & Natura.
Materials used for these luxury sleep systems can be anything from regular coiled mattresses to latex, memory foam & even organic wool fill. Whatever the make up of the bed, your sheets are an important part of your sleep system.

Hi, You have a great site. My adjustable bed has castors and the drop for the skirt is 18 inches, not 15. Do you have any this size for an xl twin. We have a two beds with a headboard. Love your bed skirts and would love to order the coverlets as well. Thanks

Own a S&F Cal King Matress.
Need 21 1/2 inch deep pocket sheet sets (fitted, flat,& 2 pillow cases).
Do you have a catalog for these type sheets?
When are you going to expand your choices and increase your stocks – in this size?
Anyone know where else I can buy the above mentioned sheet sets?
I am looking for an extra long king size fitted bottom sheet for an adjustable bed. Making the bed with the two fitted bottom sheets is very difficult. I am currently using a king size jersey sheet but it does not fit very well. Do you have any suggestions/recommendations.

I am looking at your Split Cal King Set (2 fitted, 1 flat, and 2 pillow cases). I don’t understand why, if the mattress is “Split” (2 singles), which ours is and is used as 2 singles, why I can’t get 2 flat sheets instead of one?
Please Help!!!

Dear Sir/Madam:
I have the Tempur-pedic split queen (motorized control on each side and two separate mattresses). I ordered 30 X 80 fitted sheets from another company. The sheets did not stay in place and Tempur-pedic advised to use mattress straps. This we did but not much improvement. The sheets are staying in place at the head and foot (Thanks to the mattress straps) but half the sheet is off to the side at the center of the bed after sleeping on it.
Discussed problem with linen store clerk and she says we need sheets for thicker mattress. My mattress is approx. 9″ thick. Tempur-pedic sales person told us to buy the 9″ sheet. (bad advise)
How deep are your 30 X 80 fitted sheets? Have you had any comments or complaints from Tempur-pedic customers.
The Tempur-pedic company also advised us to use a queen size bed skirt. Another piece of bum information as impossible for the bed skirt to stay in place when one side or the other mattress is rising. Finally had to cut the skirt down the middle.
It is very frustrating and I would appreciate any advise you may have as to a fitted sheet that will work (sheet stay relatively in place) after sleeping on it.
Thank you for any help you are able to furnish. I am at wits end.
